IMPULSE PICTURES was started a few years ago by Don May, Jr. and Jerry Chandler as an off-shoot label for their company Synapse Films. While Synapse Films dealt with classic restorations of horror, science-fiction, cult and documentary films, Impulse was designed to cater to the fan of more adult and erotic fare.
At this time, Impulse Pictures has three main categories of films for the adult film connoisseur:
IMPULSE PICTURES: Our main label for releasing classic adult film fare, such as 70s and 80s adult feature films with many of your favorite classic adult film stars.
42ND STREET FOREVER-THE PEEP SHOW COLLECTION: Our extremely popular and continuing series (FORTY volumes and counting!!!) of classic 8mm adult film loops featured in many adult sex shop automated booths throughout the 70s and early 80s.
THE NIKKATSU COLLECTION: A continuing series of classic Japanese erotic cinema from the vaults of Nikkatsu Studios. These feature films were quite eye-opening for the time and with themes like violence, bondage, assault, etc. these Nikkatsu films continue to be just as erotic and surprisingly bold even for today’s audiences.
